More Public Trash Cans in Impacted Neighborhoods

Yes there is a definite shortage of public trash cans!

Because there aren't many trash cans around town. I almost always have to walk blocks with my dog's bag before I come across a receptacle.

At some corners, public trash cans are the problem as people use it as their personal can dumping daily rather than at their residents. The unhoused also dump at the public trash cans, they should be given trash cans that are serviced weekly so that their trash is not left on the street or at public trash cans.

In some hotspots, might as well even take up a parking spot and put a dumpster. At least that would save time and money

Yes! Let's bring back trash cans and put them everywhere. On business streets and also residential streets. I firmly believe that a big reason there is so much trash in the streets is that there are no trash cans.

People will put trash in the garbage can when there is a can around. They will just toss garbage when they can’t find a convenient place to put it. So, yes… more cans being regularly serviced will help.
